Institute of School Administration and Management is a professional and examining body registered by Federal Government CAMA of 2021.
The Institute is empowered to regulate the training in, and practice of, School Administration and Management within a professional framework.
The Institute’s qualifications are accredited and graded for employment in all sectors of the economy. The Institute is governed by a Council of members.

ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS

Student Membership

Applicants must be undergoing a regular course of study in Educational Related fields in a University, Polytechnic or College of Education.

Associate Membership

Applicants must possess a degree, or HND, or Final Professional Examination Certificate, in any field allied to Education, or other qualifications approved by the Institute. Candidates must have been engaged on work related to the practice of School Administration and Management for a minimum period of five years.

Direct Membership

Direct membership is available in five grades, namely:

Graduate-Member, Full-Member, Fellow, Corporate and Foreign.

The general educational requirement is a degree, or HND, or Final Professional Examination Certificate, in any Educational discipline, in addition to the following practical experience requirement.

a) Graduate Member

Applicants for selection to this grade must be at least 20 years of age and have little or no working experience.

b) Full Member

Applicants for selection to this grade must be at least 25 years of age and have not less than five years working experience in senior administrative function in any Educational organization.

c) Fellow

Applicants must be at least 30 years of age and have not less than ten years working experience in senior administrative functions in any Educational organization, five of which must be at the top echelon of executive appointment.

d) Corporate Member

Corporate members shall be institutions that want to identify with the ISAM with high level of integrity and vetted by relevant organizations and those institutions or organizations whose activities revolve School Administration and Management.

e) Foreign Member

Any Member, Institute or Organizations that processes the above requirements but are not resident or citizen of Nigeria shall be identified as a Foreign Member.

Honourary Membership

Notable members of the public who have contributed immensely to the development of Education are awarded Honourary Membership (Hon.ISAM) of the Institution by the Council.

Courses

The Institute of School Administration and Management courses are divided into three major categories:
Short Courses (these are Certificate Courses);
Professional Courses (these are just two, Professional Diploma in School Administration and Management (PDSAM) and Advanced Professional Diploma in School Administration and Management (APDSAM));
and Affiliated Programmes (these are three which we offer in affiliation which other Universities, Graduate Conversion Course (B.Ed); M.Ed; and Ph.D.)

Short Courses

Through our team of trained professionals we offer a range of certified courses and programs. Both Virtual Training, Online Training, Onsite Training, Executive Coaching, and Manager Coaching.

APDSAM

This is the Institute’s School Administrative Management Professional Course (SAMPC), with minimum duration of four semesters. This comprises of four parts to be completed strictly in that sequence.

PDSAM

This is the Institute’s School Administrative Management Technician Course (SAMTC), with minimum duration of four semesters. This comprises SAMTC 1, SAMTC 2, SAMTC 3, and SAMTC 4.

GCC (B.Ed)

Candidates who holders Degree/HND in other fields but wish to make professional career in School Administration and Management, are eligible to apply for the award of B.Ed of our partner Universities by Graduate Conversion Course.

M.Ed

B.Sc in Educational Field, APDSA of the Institute. Holders of HND/BSc in non Educational Field are required to first complete the Graduate Conversion Course before becoming eligible for admission.

Ph.D.

Open to holders of Master Degree. Candidates for Ph.D. Program should completed the Online Application Form for Ph.D. Program, upload all copies of their certificates, and make payment of non-refundable mandatory processing fee.
